Company Origin. . .
Back when North America was an unconquered frontier, its settlers began building and building and, as the population grew, they needed more room, more houses, more apartments, so they built more than before.
They tore things down and continued to build new buildings of all types. Today, in North America, there are more than three hundred million people who need homes, apartments, hospitals, office buildings and factories and the population keeps growing.
The building business has never stopped.
Environmental Surfaces. Surfaces we live on.
Chuck Hittle, President of All Surface Technology, was a boy, growing up in Ohio, when he got his first job in the construction industry. He learned to build all kinds of buildings and he also learned a lot about the surfaces in those buildings. He formed his own construction company and operated it very successfully, for years.
Chuck’s wife, JoEllen, damaged a kitchen countertop in their new home. Rather than replace all the countertops, Chuck began to experiment with ways of repairing the countertop. He was able to do it, without any visible signs of the repair being made. Then, an idea began to grow: Why not develop some methods of refurbishing all surfaces that were worn, damaged, or needed help?
It was an idea with perfect timing. With millions of buildings in North America that were structurally sound, the owners were looking for ways to renew the environmental surfaces without the high cost of replacement.
"Chuck Hittle
Refinishing" was born. A new kind of company that was
devoted to making all kinds of surfaces better than new!
After
conceiving, testing, re-testing hundreds of approaches to
renewing and refinishing all kinds of surfaces, a group of
technologies were developed. Chuck, decided that his systems
for refinishing should be called: |
